Hi, I'm Dominik.
I'm a software engineer who used to be a PM. I've owned roadmaps, written strategy docs, and led 10+ person teams across engineering and research. Then I went back to engineering - because I wanted to be the one actually building.
Currently, I'm a senior fullstack engineer at Vesper helping professionals navigate commodities markets.
Things I've shipped...
95% drop in account sharing
Diagnosed account sharing as a problem vector, wrote the RFC, and shipped 2FA end-to-end. Security posture improved and account sharing went down.
5x faster dashboards
Rebuilt the caching and query layer in core dashboard controllers. Dashboards that used to take seconds now load in a fraction of the time; engagement on key flows went up 60%.
50% higher ACV
Designed and shipped role-based access control (RBAC) so we could sell team and enterprise tiers. The system became the foundation for premium pricing and upsells.
$2MM saved annually
Shipped an internal tool that automated a manual, error-prone step in the claims pipeline. Cut intervention by 85% and freed the team to focus on edge cases that actually needed humans.
10x claims volume
Drove ML accuracy and pipeline improvements for the claims product. The system could handle an order of magnitude more claims at the same quality bar.
175% ARR growth YoY
Led product and growth strategy across a 3-year stretch of ARR growth. Owned roadmap, prioritization, and the link between what we built and what we measured.
150 monthly page visits
Designed and built an emoji-to-movie guessing game. Users can create and share custom packs or play a daily challenge; the loop is built for replay and discovery.
Tech I Love
Work in Progress
Some selected projects I've been working on in various stages of done-ness.
Cinemojis
Cinemojis is a game for movie buffs and emoji lovers. Guess a movie in 5 tries using 1 to 5 emojis. Users can also sign up and create their own movie-emoji sets to play or share with their friends and challenge them.

With Yes, Chef! you never have to spend more than a few clicks on figuring out what to make for dinner this week. It's a mealplan generator, random recipe discovery tool, and can serve as your own recipe book - all in one.
Shortout is a (Chrome) browser extension that allows users to sort out shorts from their YouTube subscription page. YT's July 2023 update made the extension obsolete with a new subscription layout. Apart from just hiding Shorts, you could also whitelist channels to keep their Shorts from being removed.
